Terms

Effective 18 October 2026.

These are the ground rules for using WriteMeALetter, which WriteMeALetter runs. By signing in, you agree to them. They are short on purpose.

What this is

WriteMeALetter is for slow letters between two people. A letter you write arrives no sooner than 24 hours later, at the hour the other person chose. You can be paired with one person at a time.

Your account

You must be 16 or older. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.

Be kind. No abuse.

Do not use WriteMeALetter to harass, threaten, stalk, or frighten anyone.

Do not send anything unlawful, or anything meant to hurt, deceive or exploit the person you are writing to.

If a letter or a person worries you, you can end your pairing at any time, and you can tell us at support@writemealetter.love.

We will respond to reports of abuse promptly, and within 5 working days. We may look at a reported letter to deal with the report. We may pause or close accounts that break these rules.

Your letters

Your letters are yours. By sending one, you give us permission to store it and deliver it to the person you addressed it to, and nothing more. Once a letter is delivered, it stays in the recipient's archive, as the privacy page explains.

The service

We do our best to deliver every letter on time, but we cannot promise the service will never be late, down, or changed. We may change or end features.
